The  union type sight glasses are most commonly installed on tanks or vessels to allow visual inspection of the processes inside. The thick walled design ensures that there is no distortion during welding.As standard the viewing disc is in borosilicate glass although alternative materials such as polycarbonate and acrylic can be offered on request. All product contact metallic parts are manufactured from forged AISI 304L or 316L stainless steel with a polished surface finish.
